NOMS2024 Call For Papers

The 38th IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS 2024) will be held between 6-10 May 2024 in Seoul, South Korea. First organized in 1988, NOMS 2024 follows the 36 years tradition of NOMS and IM (Integrated Management Symposium) as the primary IEEE Communications Society’s forum for technical exchange on network and service operations and management, focusing on research, development, integration, standards, service provisioning, and user communities.

Submission Instructions

The NOMS 2024 Dissertation Digest focuses on Ph.D. dissertations finished recently, especially within the December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023, time frame. Suitable content and topics fall into the exact same range as for the main symposium’s list of topics, cf. the URL https://noms2024.ieee-noms.org/authors/. This digest can be considered an extended abstract of the thesis and must be limited to six pages and structured very similarly to a regular paper.

In addition, this digest needs to add in the text and in the reference section a reference to a Web link for the full Ph.D. thesis. Furthermore, the list of journal, conference, and workshop papers, published as part of the Ph.D. work, has to be included in the digest paper’s reference section, too. Note that the authors of a digest will have to be only the (former) student and his/her supervisor(s). The dissertation digest co-chairs may request evidence of the defense or approval of the thesis for each submission before it can be accepted finally. Only PDF submissions will be considered for review, and they shall be uploaded to JEMS at https://jems3.sbc.org.br/noms_dissertation_digest_2024.

Paper Formatting Instructions

Please prepare the dissertation digest paper with the maximal length of 6 pages (including all references, figures, and tables) – as usual in English only – following the IEEE double-column format using the published IEEE Conference Proceeding templates, being available at http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html.

Authors of accepted submissions are required to present their digest within the Dissertation Digest sessions of NOMS 2024, if the dissertation digest paper shall be included in the proceedings. Due to IEEE/IFIP technical co-sponsorship of NOMS, your final paper is planned to be included in IEEE Xplore for archival purposes after the conference.
